NEED HELP FAST! RE: RESCUED GOOSE EGG!!

When it externally pips, breaks the shell, you raise the humidity to 60% Gooseegg. But you must leave it alone as it is trying to orientate itself to break out. The more it has to realign the more energy it uses up until there isn't enough strength left to actually break out.

I heard a slight noise and went in there. The egg is wobbling very faintly. I wonder if it has internally pipped? !!!!! But I can't candle it you said. So I wait how long? Keep checking to see if it broke the outer shell? Is the shell to hard to break thru if I haven't been misting? Im so new at this..

update: I hear a little ticking noise inside the incubator. Is that him in the egg or the egg wobbling? if hes ticking.. then you think he has internall pipped? My humidity is at 35%

I raised my humidity and closed the vents. Its rocking pretty good. Hoping to have a baby soon!! Do I put something under the egg so the baby doesn't get stuck on the wire floor of the incubator? And IF and when should I consider putting a little hole in the shell of the egg? If he doesn't progress? Thanks!

He may come out by now but some went has to be opened so the goosling able to have some air.Look like a strog goose if egg rocking so hard.Leve him to it he will manage byhimself and let us know when he comes out:)

Leave a vent slightly open, and what is the humidity reading? Do not open the incubator now.

:-) My humidity was at 60% this morning. I don't hear or see anything happening. I closed the vents and added a bowl of water. The humidity is rising and the glass is fogging over. Temp at 99.5. So I need to take one vent cover off? IF and when should I think about candling it to see if its ok? And should I be thinking about putting a little hole in the shell. Or do you think the little goose is resting right now? I will wait on a answer. Im really hoping hes ok. Humidity now at 72% can't seem to get it higher

update: the egg IS moving a little. So hes ok! Don't need to candle still?

NO CANDLING Gooseegg. Sounds like too much humidity, so open one vent slightly and get temp down to 99 degrees. 60 degrees humidity is correct. DO NOT TOUCH THAT EGG AT ALL.

This is the only hope you have of getting anything out alive !!!!!!

I've read it can take a couple of days from pipping for them to hatch so we'll all have to try and be patient-my fingers are down to stubs now! Goosegg you'll be on the valium or the booze if not both soon!
He's probably just resting before the big "push"

SO EXCITED! I went in there and started whistling at it thru the little hole in the incubator and it wobbled a little. YEAH!!!!!!! Oh Im so excited.

Talk to him/her to get moving , maybe needs some motivation to come out  The mother goose talk to her eggs as they hatching(I think :-)19 ).Mother hens do this so meybe goose does this too. :D

Yes I used to talk to my little "peeps" when they were getting ready to hatch and would sometimes get a cheep and a little wobble in reply.
This little one has got lots of surrogate parents rooting for him!
