Hi ,GLPF is orginated from Poland, very active bird great at forging.Best to be kept in freerange as they suffer in small enclosures. They lay 140-180 eggs per year low in bad cholesterol.Colour can be white or cream.Smart chickens, very hardy,no health problems, tolerating very low temperatures well.Dual purpose bird for meat and eggs.
Theese are pictures of my GLPF not many of them you can find on the web. They all girls,I think. On the pictures also C.Sussex (boy)as hatched with them too :)99zielononozka.jpg20110703_99.jpg20110703_99_5.jpg20110703_99_4.jpg20110703_99_3.jpg20110703_99_2.jpg20110703_99_1.jpg

My GLPF getting fed up with the brooder box I have for them.Soo hungry all the thime and making so much noise.Chirping all dayy long. They try so many difrent food stuff and they like everything.I had even try a little corn(my older were so uninterested)and had no problem with that at all.The smallest already cuch up with the others in size and difrence disapiring fast.I must say that are tottaly difrent to the others lots in so many ways, and I'm certain they will rule the chicken cop whe they grow up.My silver/gry Dorking is no much for them(she was so mean to my RIR and Salmon Faveroles when I put them together)They jumping out of the box and exploring dining room(hubby not happy). In the last few days they grow so many feathers on their chests and rest of the body, soon no light for them.I'm going to put them in my chicken cop tomorrow for a day so the older can see them(I will separet them with wire mesh so the older can't attack them)

i have seen them a few times before, i nearly bought some hatching eggs myself, lovely looking birds. the two with bigger combs seem to be developing dark breast feathers too which indicates male, they share same feathering as welsummers.

A spare boy could find a home here. I am just south of London. Comparing them to my youngsters two of yours do look like males (breast colour changing to black and more developed combs). They all start of with female colouring, then the males change into their adult plumage later.

Oh dear,I think both of you are right now.Went to polish forum with all info on them and found more pictures of young birds and black featers on the brest mean cockrell, young pullets do not heve big combs.
Chuck do you have maybe something to swap with(young female) as now I have 4 cocrells in total and 3 pullets

I've only got 3 or 4 pullets I think so no swop as they can easily get lost along the way. I am not desperate for another male but thought that if I had a youngster from another line, I could mate him to my older two females next year. This years pullets won't have eggs set next year as I need to check that they are laying well enough to justify hatching from them.

OK - I'll offer you an Andalusian pullet as a swop for a young male and a dozen eggs of yours next year for me to hatch.

I've only got two pullets + 3 males !
