Hi there, and welcome to the Forum.
How high have you had the humidity, j.a.m? quails need to beincubated dry, ie in the UK no added water as the atmosphere will reliably provide the 45% they need and higher humidity has adverse effects. Then wait until eggs are active and pipping before upping the humidity to 75%. Temperature should have been 37.5C, down to 37.0 whilst hatching.
CPQs should have hatched by Day 16.How are you counting the days? The first 24 hours in the incubator are Day 0, then Day 1 is when they have had one days incubation and so on. So it may be yours are actually on Day 15 at the moment. Have you stopped the turning and lined the base with nonslip material eg rubber matting or cotton cloth, to prevent splayed leg? They should be rocking and twitching by now or in the next 24 hours. Hatch times do vary, if yuor inci was perhaps set a bit cool they may be later. Dont disturb them and dont candle them again. Most people dont candle quail eggs anyway, the patterns make it difficult especially with tiny CPQ eggs, so not reliable, and anyway its best to reduce disturbance during incubation as mnuch as possible.
Please let us know how the hatch goes. Looking forward to some photos of your little bumblebees!
Get the brooder ready and well heated up to 37.0C beforehand.

Love the blue badge holders idea, Ashley! Yes I hope none of those. Not much problem with parking a CPQ, though.
Any movement yet from the eggs?
Next time you incubate, keep the humidity low until you actually see definite signs of first pipping. They are very prone to drowning in shell if the humidity is too high too soon, or has been high throughout the incubation. I have a very experienced friend who hatches hundreds of coturnix every year and she says sometimes she forgets to add any water at all and they still hatch OK. I suppose its because they originally came from hot dry desert-type environments, though many people who hatch chickens find that there can be problems with too much humidity. I guess you know all about this, judging by your email address. What else do you hatch?

Just a thought - the tiny CPQ eggs have a greater ratio of shell surface to egg contents than larger eggs do. So this might mean they are even more sensitive to humidity levels, perhaps?

Okidoke.ive just sterd into the bator for few mins no movement yet. Ive let chickens do ther fing in hatching. An I fort id try batoring my self. This 1st time cor quails for me. humidity at 40now..do u fink I get blue badge holders.cos ive had humidity too high since stop turning.thanks ashley.
J.a.m poultry is my business name not email.lol

GREAT! more to come I hope! Leave it to finish hatching by itself, as it may not be quite ready yet and if not it will bleed and die.
I would leave the rest and try not to open the incubator as this will lower the temperature and it will take quite a while to recover.

Hi. Update. Its day19 for cpq. No sign of pip or movement. But I pipped 1 my self the chicks ali e an kicking.but not ready to come out. I dunno y theses are taking ages. Any answers or advice.please.

Morning all. 3 out of 29 have hatched so far.1 died while pipping. 1 came out at half 9 last nite.an the other at bout 3 this morning. :D :D :D :D

Thers a few that are rocking.having a party without me.lol.the two that are older havent fount there feet yet.an the 1 that is hour old fount his feet already.how long until the other 2 walk proply. Will put picks up

If you have got a nonslip base for them to walk on, they usually find their feet almost immediately, in a shaky kind of way, and gain strength rapidly as their legs dry out. Whatever you do, don't open the inci whilst they are drying out and any others are hatching or the new chicks will chill.

The 1st two still trying to find feet.the newly hatch 1 is on his feet straight away. Think I have got blue badge holders.wot can I do to get them to walk or they wont an die? Thanks marigold.

These are obviously the strongest three out of the hatch, to have made it that far, and the two who are on their feet look OK tho is hard to tell whether they are both standing. The yellow one doesn't look so good, if their legs are splayed out sideways this usually indicates that the surface they hatched on was too slippery but the j cloth under these looks ideal so probably that's not the problem. I'm afraid something did go rather badly wrong with this hatch in the earlier stages, didn't it, and it may be that these late hatching babies might not make it. For straightforward splayed leg it's possible to splint the legs together and somewhere on here is an article about that, but I don't know if you could possibly do it to such minute chicks, and it may be that something else is wrong with their development anyway and nature will take its course. If they can't stand, it may be best to cull them, sad though this would be after all your efforts.

And some more posts if you Search for Splayed Leg or Spraddled Leg.
Tygresek would know all about it - if she doesn't come on here, try a pm to her maybe?
