Hello my duck has this in both her eyes though this one is worse as this was the first eye to ge this problem. I had a chicken that pecked her eyes and i have rehomed her since due to this. I was flushing her eyes with a saline solution and seemed to clear a bit though now seems worse and ive noticed shes now sneezing a bit. The vets near me dont see poultry and im quite rural. Any info as to what it could be and treatment would be great please.

Hi @Suzy172 welcome to the forum! I'm sorry your duck isn't feeling well! I think you might be able to try terramycin ointment for eye infections of this sort. A triple antibiotic ointment like neosporin might help as well.

Thankyou for getting back to me. Im ringing vets further to try get her seen or even just some advice as that eye looks alot worse already and very inflamed. I have seen alot of people online mention terramycin which would be great if i can get hold of it at a vets as cant seem to get it anywhere without a prescription. Again thankyou for taking the time getting back to me much appreciated 👍

Any updates on this @Suzy172
Hello, yes so i eventually managed to find a vet that would see her and by the time i found one it got worse very quickly and she started to lose feathers on her head. It was an infection due to the chicken that had pecked at her eyes so she had antibiotics and is still on eye drops now but she is alot better and her feathers are growing back. Luckily she has no damage to her actual eyeball though the tissue is around it but still a good outcome 😊 nice to see her happy again
