Cheery Pics

They are a pair of Egyptian Geese that arrived a good few years ago. This time of the year we get inundated with moulting geese and they prefer to come over the fence and spend quiet time snoozing under the apple tree. They always hop over evening time anyway and hang around the chicken run as they know I will give them a scoop of corn. Being smaller than the Canada Geese and Greylag's they do get bullied off the food when I feed the resident wildfowl, they are quite funny as they follow OH around, like her very own avian stalkers.

We have also had a slightly more exotic addition turn up a Bar headed Goose obviously an escapee from somewhere. You can just see it in with the Canada's.

We have a large feral population in the South East, especially Norfolk. We currently have 21 hanging around moulting they come and go with the other geese. But this pair far too upper class to mix with them.
We have these little fellas as well from who knows where. Mandarin duck and Raja Shelduck who we call Count Duckula as he looks as though he has a cape onSAM_1694.JPG

OH took these on a bird survey locally, she says you can't beat a sunrise and the suns rays through the treesIMG_0001 (9).JPG
