Cheery Pics

Love it.
Here is the latest waif and stray to end up with us. Found in a box by the road by a work colleague. So far he has been with us 18 hours and managed to limbo under the paddock gate, and try to get in the chicken coop, gone through the hedge and parked himself in the neighbour's kitchen, and of course the neighbour's who get completely freaked out by anything nature related. When one has a cleaner in every day, you don't want muddy feet all over your marble floor. He is going to be a character. Currently sound asleep on the island.

He is a young Muscovy Duck, lavender colouring, he is quite large and has now happily wandering around with the farm geese and a walking wounded Canada Goose that can't fly and is permanent, he was well behaved yesterday

Absolutely, he seems to be behaving after his Indiana Jones excursions to meet our neighbour's, he has lovely bright yellow feet BTW. I will draw the line at rehoming crocs or alligators though

The ones that are self sufficient and come and go are best.
This one is quite a character though, when he sees you coming with food he runs up grunting and wags his tail, and it wags away whilst he is eating. We have christened him "Indy" after the escapades the other day
