WATER OR LACK OF IT

after reading some of the comments on here theres one that mentions a water company spending 6 mil to employ 130 extra tecs to find leaks and that reminded me of a story my mate told me he was a qualified building tec and project sponsor by trade who asked the local water company to find a leak where he worked on an mod site they spent 4 days trying to find it and failed until he pointed out that water runs down hill after that it took 4 hours to find and fix it .need i say more uncle fox

Some Plumbers eh Charliefox! I got called out after the water board told a lady she had a leak OUTSIDE and it needed fixing. They established this by reading the water meter, which was INSIDE. A plumber came out and couldn't find the leak either so she called me. I ignored the last two because it had to be AFTER the water meter so on the inside pipe work. 15 minutes later and I located it. New Combi-boiler had created a leak (they operate at higher pressure) under the pantry floor and she had been pumping thousands of litres of hot water into a filled-up cellar!

More areas affected now in the UK with drought see the story http://news.uk.msn.com/environment/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=161102648

i have been given permission by the water company to use a hose for genaral cleaning purposes for the chickens as they come under livestock and animal welfare a note as been put on the system to our home address as the allotment backs onto our garden so if anyone calls up then i am in the clear i just have to wait for the witch at the council to call me tomorrow as usual she was of ill again today just to let her know they have given me the all clear and that the council cant do anything about it even if someone complains .
the woman at the water company said they had loads of calls from people grassing neighbours etc .
