The Guinea Fowl's last day.

After having my mind go numb whilst working in the garden with the constant 'see saw' noise from my guinea fowl, they finally pushed me over the edge this morning.

I woke at 5.30 and could hear one of them (who, last night had decided she wasn't going to go into the house), perched on the highest point of the garage, letting the world know they should all be awake including my neighbours, a bed and breakfast and anyone else within 1/4 of a mile.

So I've had it with them. The Guinea Fowl must go. :x

I just finished plucking the first. And all this before 6.30am on a Sunday morning. Time to chill out with some breakfast.

lmao their noise is immense, my hubby was talking of selling.eating ours because they keep chasing the chickens :roll:

Yes, this was the final straw!

They do give the chickens a little peck sometimes but were hatched and brought up by a bantam so are reasonably friendly / tame (well as tame as Guinea Fowl get!).

One will be dinner tomorrow night, another next week some time.

At last,we can come round for your roast guinea fowl recipe ,what's your address again :lol: .They are very pretty,but the noise has to be an acquired taste.....i've not met anyone who has acquired it yet though .

he don't wanna eat them he decided so they are booked for auction on sunday because yesterday 2 chickens were chased into the duck pond and they drowned

hi tim,
i sold my guinea fowl to a friend
he would like me to do another thousand not realising my incubater only takes 7 eggs lol
however he told me to do incubate anything and hell buy it off me.
he would also like me to do some partridges...never done them before
we shall see what happens x

i sold mine to a chicken farmer as an alarm agaist foxes only 5, i kept one behind as was going to pts because the others had attacked her but she pulled round with in hours, she now lives with molly my brain damaged orpington (best friends) she also has 7 growers she cuddles up with maybe loosing her leg to a fox made her friendly but that noise does drive me mad she lives in the house so it dulls the noise a little for neighbours
