Mystery Orpington bantam deaths......

Just a note, worms and poultry do go hand in hand...a heavy infestation will run a bird down, unlikely to cause severe illness however. If you are new to keeping poultry I doubt worms are a problem particularly as your ground should still be sweet.

I would be more concerned about the underlying health issue which is looking more like an upper respiratory problem at this point. The peeling beak could be an opportunistic fungal or bacterial infection, might be a good idea to see the vet again?

Well, good news - I repatriated the sickly - now recovered - chook back in with the others today as she has improved so much! I can't believe how she has recovered, her beak looks great, she is back clucking away and is eating really well. It seemed cruel that on a lovely sunny and warm day like today, that she should be stuck in the garage and not in the garden with her friends. I introduced the Flubonet into their food yesterday so hopefully this will be the end of the illness. I will certainly be keeping a very close eye on them but I am delighted to see them back together again - having a dust bath!

Thanks to everyone who has helped me and I will post back on here if anything changes.
