I live in AZ (was 115 degrees yesterday)... HORRIFIC. I cannot wait to move!! I am stuck here for at least another year or so.
...but I live next to the preserves and have lots of quail visit my backyard. I feel sorry for them and placed shallow bowl of water on my backyard balcony (the quail LOVE drinking from it) including the tiny harris antelope squirrel and various other birds. I placed rocks inside the water bowl so that the super young baby quail cannot drown.
I worry that once I move the harris antelope squirrel and the quail are going to suffer? What I mean is that I hope they are not going to become dependent on the water I started leaving on my back balcony? I started doing it a month ago.
