Hello everyone,
I'm slowly working on the Chicken Breeds section of the site, breed by breed (and believe me, this takes ages finding and cutting out the photos, researching the breeds and writing about them).
I've been looking at the Hybrid Chickens part today (yes, I know, not strictly a breed but it fits in nicely in this section!) and have started to list some hybrid crosses:
Bovans Nera (Rhode Island Red / Barred Plymouth Rock cross).= Black Rock, Black Star
Bovans Goldline (Rhode Island Red / Light Sussex)
Marans Cuivre (Rhode Island Red / Marans cross)
Can anyone help me with some other names / crosses and what they are called by breeders? There are so many out there now like Bluebelles, Skylines, Gingernut Rangers etc... but I don't know their parentage...
I am also looking for some nice mug shots of hybrid hens to cut out and use - I would like to have about 6 to 8 thumbnail sized hens on the page... I only have Bovans Goldline that I can use so far. If you have any good 'side views' of any hybrids, would you be able to let me know / email them to me? ([email protected])
Many thanks!
Tim
