I was hoping to get some info on Eider Ducks.
I have been keeping domestic ducks for some time now and have studied their behaviour at great length.
Next year I will be moving to a property with 2 huge lakes surrounded by woodland and am looking to get some Eider Ducks and possibly some mandarins, our habitat is perfect for wood duck species... but I am not sure about Eiders, so I would be grateful if anyone could give me some info.
I have extensive knowledge of domestic duck behaviour and welfare and husbandry, but very little on wood ducks and none on Eiders.
Could anyone give me some advice on what I would need to provide the very best habitat for Eiders and what is the best food etc and how well they do on freshwater lake environments.
I am not looking to purchase for a while and will only get them if I can provide for them adequately.
