Hi i know you have to stop turning eggs in the incubator ready for hatching on day 18, but do you stop turning at the end of day 17 or turn for the last day on day 18 then leave them alone, determined to do everything right to hatch my two remaining eggs, so thought i`d check and get some advice, thanks :-)09

Hello, you can stop turning anytime from day 18- you can turn them righ up to pipping if you want- the hen doesn't stop turning the eggs. It's only if you have an auto turning incy that they say day 18- that's just in case anything hatches early and then they can get trapped in the auto turner.
So, it's not critical a to when :) There are a few posts on the subject already if you do a search on the forum.
regards, David :)

Hi, personally I stop turning on the 17 day at night or sometimes turn once in the morning of day 18. Up to you really. If you plan to hatch again and want to try getting better hatch results turn them more during the incubation period I was turning mine 6 times a day (obviously if you have the time to do this) it allows the embryo to develop more evenly apparently. When I did this I got 20 out of 26. Hope this helps :-)
