Hi I here lots of stories about crop bound etc an other issues with poop truth is I do y no what any of it means, also I have no issues with my 3 gorgeous 15 week old Peeking ducks at moment but I do notice there poops are different all the time, one poop will be a runny mud colour, then next will be a mushy wheetabix texture an colour an sometimes just runny an clear it's different all time, they do love snuffling through mud so suppose this has an impact, my question is is all of above normal an what exactly ain't normal an when to look out for in future??? Thanks

It sounds like your ducks have healthy droppings, the difference between ducks and chickens droppings is that chickens are much drier and firmer than ducks, and ducks well...tend to be much runnier and range from mustard to sometimes quite green if they have been eating a lot of grass or vegetables.
Don't worry about crop problems as ducks don't have actually have crops.

A slight side issue - but I find washing duck poop away is far easier too.

I take a hose with a spray around the field and it washes into the grass whereas chicken poop will usually stay solid and be difficult to remove.

I wash mine away every day and it makes the grass last much better. Poo left on top kills the grass.
