Coronavirus

Brilliant Margaid.
We had enough trouble with mask less people first time round on the buses, this time it will be even tougher. Just done my weekly test to send off, we have to do a half hour one every other day at work as well. We have sent a few people home that tested positive in the morning.

I've been wearing a mask all the time and testing weekly before choir practice, so I'll just carry on. Very painful arm today after Pfizer booster but fortunately no other side effects. With acute tendonitis in the opposite shoulder my activities are a bit limited - going to make a big pot of Chili con Carne to portion and freeze - I think I can manage to chop the onion!

OH has had her booster, she just had a numb arm and hand for a few days which was very weird she said. No reaction at all to the flu vaccine which was a first for her. She has booked herself in for the Pneumonia vaccine on 10 December. I never react to the flu vaccine, and I didn't to the first two rounds of Covid jabs

I have my booster on 9 December, and the dentist and the car MOT on same day.

Will do my best to avoid the idiots out there, one of the biggest idiots out there who we used to row with as she reckoned it was all a hoax, caught it recently along with her two daughters who sadly died, only 18 & 21

Oh goodness! How very sad!

The guy responsible for this man leaving hospital is facing criminal charges under an offence of endangerment. He's told the court that he doesn't recognise their jurisdiction because he is the king and they are public servants.

Poor man. People can be very persuasive when they're dealing with vulnerable people, I hope he's caught and sent for trial.
 
Oh, he will be. It's likely the poor man would have died even if he'd stayed in hospital , but there was a chance that he would live. That was taken away.

Sad story LadyA.
One of the cases of the Omicron variant was found just up the road from us in Brentwood, officials are asking for anyone who visited KFC or the local church in Brentwood to get tested. Hope he/she hasn't been on one of our buses.

So far today most people have masks on, different story in the shopping centre where most haven't, exception being Primark who have staff on the doors, making sure people wear them
 
I read an article today by a doctor in South Africa. She said her experience, with over 2 dozen people with this omicron variant is that it was very mild. Although she did say they were all young

We both had the Astra Zeneca first time round, and we need a new toaster :lol:

My first two were Astra Zeneca so I won't get a toaster. :cry:

Spoke too soon about reaction to the booster; had the nausea, upset gut, headache and shivers on Monday. Now just left with headache and very painful arm but it could be worse :-)10

As an aside I’m wondering whether my faculties are going because I’ve looked at that Van Gogh cartoon for three days and thought ‘I don’t get it’. Then suddenly about 5 minutes ago the penny dropped. And it is of course very funny.
