Yesterday, on Facebook, parents were complaining that they did not want to send their children back to school as they would not be allowed to play with their friends or get a hug from the teacher, if they fell over, for example! Also, that the classrooms, where desks were seperated so each child could have distance between each other, was allegedly going to be like a prison camp and it was unsafe.
Some of these parents (some I personally know from work), are the same ones who only last week were complaining that their children were suffering because they were unable to go to school and who are the same parents who are desperate to get their false eyelashes done, hair styled, nail extensions, eyebrows jigged to look like caterpillars and to be able to go back to the pub!!!
And I dare say that if Boris announced all pubs can reopen this weekend, these parents would be the first in the beer garden with their children. ;-)
