Coronavirus

Brilliant Marigold.
I have to do rail replacement buses to Dollis Hill sometimes. Now I feel obliged to cut up a bra and use it at the station.
British humour at it's best, like the dinner party in Carry On Up The Khyber.
Strange little station tucked in amongst houses

There's so much research going on. particularly at existing vaccines. There is some evidence (but so far, not enough to be conclusive) that those vaccinated with the BCG (tuberculosis) vaccine have a higher survival rate when they get coronavirus. Now, they are also looking at the polio vaccine to see if that can be used for treatment, until a specific vaccine can be found.
How long does the BCG last though? It's a long time since I had mine ...

No idea. We used to get tested, and a booster when about 13 or so, but now (due to some problem with vaccine supplies, I think), the BCG vaccination is no longer given. So, kids younger than about 8 haven't been vaccinated.

Didn't they stop because it was classed as eradicated in the UK. Then about a decade ago, there was a resurgence with people from EU countries arriving with TB as a colleagues wife had an outbreak at her school. There was some concern that it could have been a drug resistant type. Luckily it was treatable with antibiotics.
That particular outbreak was traced to a Bangladesh family who had recently relocated to UK

From Mrs yetiman, I know exactly how many bra's I have, if one goes missing, someone will be sleeping in the chicken coop.
O no I wouldn't inflict that on them, they are sensitive souls :D :D :D

Only half a one would go missing....

Half a one would be as much use as a one legged man at a backside kicking competition.
Or perhaps I could use it as a sling shot to throw the girls their afternoon corn treat, or a nest pouch for a Robin, I resisted the obvious bird

He has already done Fetlar staying for 2-3 weeks. This included our annual Christmas dinner which actually takes place at Old Yule in January. He was pleasant and courteous. I wish him well in his endeavours though isolation on Hildasay sounds a bit grim to me but each to their own.
We’re currently on Day 4 of unbelievably perfect weather so I expect he’s having a good time.

Oh Dear    .
It is probably the same thought strain that makes any animal drink out of a muddy puddle, or roll in something slimy and smelly

That sounds like my experience of Korean food!! Kimchi. Euchhhhh! Imagine a salad drawer full of garlic, cabbage, chillies & radishes after a 3 week power cut in mid summer & you're not far off...

Quite liked these
