Margaid said:Horrors! Stuck in a shopping centre1 At least you can hide in your bus or have you retreated to somewhere warmer? I hate those places as they are usually very claustrophobic and in large crowds all I see are people's rib cages! I have been so lucky here, no flooding, no really strong winds and a lot less rain than other places.
My only real problem is keeping the cat who broke her femur relatively confined - she's desperate to go outside. Last night she hid behind the curtains in the kitchen so when I unlocked the cat flap to let one of the other cats in, she took her opportunity as soon as my back was turned. So stealthily that I only just heard the flap close behind her! Fortunately that flap leads into the small utility room so I was able to grab her before she went through the next flap to the great outdoors!
When one of my former cats broke his pelvis (and again, after he had his colon & bowel removed), I just kept him in a very large dog crate. He didn't like it, but once recovered, he went back to going in and out as he wanted.
