Hi everyone, I have two white star chicks that I bought as hatching eggs and put under my broody, everything was great till yesterday, the chicks are now just over 6wks old and have started fighting, we think one is a cock and one a hen, one is a lot broader and they have different tails, the one we think is a hen has tail feathers like a 'hen' the other has shorter and different shape tail???
I have read that if it's just handbags to let them sort it out, but this is nasty, she was bleeding, he wasn't letting her go, I seperated them overnight and went back this morning to see if they would settle a bit, but no, they started fighting straight away, neck feathers sticking out, jumping at eachother with feet out, screaching etc, I can't let it go on, we were waiting to see if there is one of each sex and re-home the cock but it looks like I won't get that far now, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
