Grandad was in RN before and during WWI and Merchant Navy WWII, ran away to sea at 14. He had the tattoos to show he had been round the Cape, across the Atlantic, around the World plus a Swallow, because they always return, and Faith, Hope and Charity symbols. Did your dad have those

Because she was OK wearing a light harness I was able to take her out of the crate for extended periods, lying on my bed and/or being cuddled while I read. She was nine and a half and had been with me for three and a half years. At least I have the other cats to console me.
