My buff orpington has been broody for around 4 weeks now. I get her out of the coop every morning to eat and drink but she doesn't seem that interested and as a result is getting quite thin. I keep removing the eggs from under her as I don't want any to hatch. I have tried shutting her out of the coop but she just goes and sits somewhere else. I have also tried putting food and water in the coop for her but she isn't really interested.
Can anyone tell me how long she will stay broody for? Is removing the eggs encouraging her to sit? I am worried that if she carries on for much longer there will be nothing left of her...
Any advice very gratefully received!
