I'm not a big book reader generally. The last blast was Murakami.
Anyway, this is not going to interest anyone, I suspect, but I just finished reading a book by Amanda Gefter - 'Trespassing on Einstein's Lawn.' Its blown my socks off!

I will have to look it up I must confess, who knows we may all become fans

I have just looked it up, and I must confess it doesn't sound like my sort of thing. However, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it Rick, and I can think of at least two people who might enjoy it, so I will recommend it to them, its always good to get a personal referral.

I love Murakami though!

Its one of those books that isn't cheap new. I got a second hand copy on Amazon.

I looked as well rick and was surprised at the price. Similarly a CD by Gunhild Carling. There seems no logic to it. DVDs are ridiculously cheap. Yet other things seem really expensive.

Yes. I think, if music is available to buy by download (or pay-to-view for films) then it keeps the price down on the CDs as well. If it isn't then it becomes a rarity. I do think the cover art is a real treat with an album - only get to see what's in the booklet if you buy the physical thing.
I took a punt on that book after reading an article written by her I just happened to find online. It hasn't got the usual mass production look - I thought at first that the pages were falling out but no, it was made like that!
