Hi everybody,my name is Sue Sablepoot and yes,I'm a white sablepoot bantam. This is a short story about me and two of my hatchlings(sister's to you humans
) which I do hope you will enjoy!!!!Well,we hatched earlier this year, and our home was lovely which is be-fitting for us.Our non-feathered mum is lovely, and so were our gardens and hen house. Our non-feathered mum is also called Sue(Victoria's Poultry) and I'm proud to say i'm named after her
.
Well,on thurs this week,Sue came and called me,and my two best friends and carried us into a large shed were she put us in a pen.Apparently,we were going to live with another non-feathered mum, this was exciting and a little scary, wondering what our new 'non-feathered mum' would be like!!!
Well, after what felt like hours(it was-our new 'non-feathered mum' had got lost  we heard them chatting and they came in.
We are an inquisitive, friendly breed, and we were eager to meet our new 'non-featered mum' judging by the pleased expression on her face, and her comments we didn't disapoint  ,we could tell straight away that she would be kind, and,an easy 'non-feather' to twist around your wing  .
Sue explained how she tells us apart,as at a quick glance we are very identical,I say very as we're not quite identical.
The 'non-feather's' wandered off, what was going on? we thought she had come for us :? .We'd chatted and said 'hello' (a note to all other chickens here-the 'non-feathers' do like us to chat back)so we were a bit puzzled, but settled back down to feeding and drinking.
Later, they came back and popped us into a box.We then went into our 'non-feather's house'.We do feel for 'non-feathers.They don't have proper perches to rest on,but, they aren't really designed for proper perching. It is fun though,to explore and pop a beak into their different things, sit and have a chat, and generally be fussed.Well,we came out the box,and sat on 'non-feathered' Sue and said our good-byes.It is a bit scary to leave your home, and the care of our 'non-feathered ' mum.I honestly think there are not many 'non-feathered' mum's who could have cared for us so well.As we were leaving, the 'non-feather's' discussed our names.I was named after my 'non-featherd' mum,so I'm also Sue.I am pleased to be named after her,my two best friends are called Jenny (after non-feathered Sue's mum) and Henny Penny.
My feet are aching now after all this typing, let me know if you're enjoying my tale, and,I'll type some more tomorrow.
