I know I must have too much time on my hands to make a post like this but one of the first things that struck me when we arrived was how differently they package butter, it is very nice, a bit more taste to it than the standard butters in the UK, though nothing like some of the stuff you get in the alps where you can virtually taste the grass in it, interesting way of doing it I thought. It is starting to heat up here now at 30C at the moment and forecast for the foreseeable future, apparently it's not unusual for it to be 40C in July and August so I am glad we got the electric blinds on the apartment fixed even if it did mean dehousing an unfortunate pair of nesting swifts, they had part incubated their eggs which was a bit of a shame.
