While deciding how to fence my perimeter and considering different options I have been trawling the net and during my browsing I came across these panels, a bit like the Heras building site panels but with a narrower gauge mesh, they are 2m high and 3.4m wide so you could knock up a fair sized run out of 4 of them in no time, of course you would then need to attach mesh to the bottom where there is a 16cm gap and dig it in to prevent the fox coming underneath and the chickens getting out and insert a doorway in one of the panels (which shouldn't be too difficult provided you did it in the corner) but you would have to dig in mesh and build a door on your run anyway. Only just found it so just my initial impression that it looks a nice cheap and easy way to make a run but would welcome anyone else's more considered thoughts.

That would be these panels

Forget my head if it wasn't screwed on.

Dinosaw, I thought of these too, (in the end bought a complete run second hand) I thought the same as you that they would be relatively inexpensive but secure. I felt they would need securing to upright posts which might be difficult but in principle I thought they had possibilities.

How much room do you have? Could you dig the 'feet' into the ground so that the bottom of the panel was ground level then you'd only need to make an anti-dig barrier into the ground.

Keep us up dated, I'll be interested to hear how you get on.

Plenty of room Lucylou, have a couple of Alpacas coming this month which I have been doing the fencing for who will hopefully provide a long term fox solution but they are a bit young at the moment to trust them, unfortunately you need planning for everything round here as it falls into a AONB and I think the panels will be a bit too visible so I will probably just brace up the run I have inherited and build a moveable run a bit like this instead which I think is a really good as its easy to drape a tarp over to provide shelter.
