Cheery Pics

Did anyone else manage to see the Northern lights Thursday, we managed quite good views before it got cloudy. We haven't been lucky with the comet yet Northern lights.jpg

Wow. That's amazing!!! I didn't know to go out & look on Thursday, so I missed them, sadly. No luck with the comet either, but we've been short on clear skies...

Whoa my attachments aren't working right now. That's super weird!
I always struggle with uploading photos on my phone- I don't have a resizing app. I've taken some long distance pics this week, so that I can crop the heck out of them...

Yes, we have had cloudy skies also. You would think after waiting for 80,000 years for it to pop into orbit mother nature would give us clear skies

We have just returned from Scotland where we finally came across the Capercaillie and a fine male as well. Bit blurry as I have heavily cropped it, but he was strutting around for about 3 minsIMG20241028152009.jpg

Congratulations BYM. I gather that they're hard to spot these days... We missed you!!

I did wonder if we would spontaneously combust or the Capercaillie would after the sighting, but we all survived.

It was a great trip with Crested Tits, Ptarmigan, Golden & Sea Eagles, Pine Marten, Red Squirrels, wonderful scenery, spectacular waterfalls. The Culloden Visitor Centre and interactive experience is very good also.

Ohhh.... I'm jealous. I've never seen any of those in real life apart from one red squirrel. Why would anyone go on a sun & sangria holiday when they could have a trip like yours???

That makes me Naughty Butternut. I'm picturing a butternut squash cooked with a whole head of garlic, 4oz butter, some double cream and a large glug of brandy. That should do it! Oh, and maybe some boursin mixed in.

What time are you serving this, so we can all come round and partake. or is that the hens Christmas lunch:ROFLMAO:

Oohh, Christmas Eve, I should think. Then drinks in our local pub, built in the 1500s from old ships' timbers & with a huge inglenook that you could sit in.

I'm either Merry Shooting Star or Sprinkly Shooting Star depending on whether I use Margaid or the first name on my birth certificate.

Ice Maiden definitely add the Boursin - you've given me ideas as I have all the ingredients ...

I have been in The Ship on Romney Marsh that is built from old ships timbers.

I suppose you could use both Margaid, depending on your mood
