    Lots of lurking; please post!!!

Working this through a phone is a bit mad😅 Hi Icemaiden good to hear from you! Toilet tank 😂 I'm on a permanent mooring north of Cov. Patrick McG found it for me. It's very rural in an odd sort of way. The whole are round here is quite nostalgic from childhood boating times. Chickens on a boat...

    Lots of lurking; please post!!!

Hi all, hope your well. Can't find new post on this phone so thought would drop in end of this thread. I moved out to a narrow boat (still work in progress after 2 years but fine.) Came a point where I had to make a decision providing for the hens. Was a bit worried for a while then a couple...

    Renewables

Does anyone here have renewable energy running? Our gas boiler is on the way out and I really want to kick it out and replace with something more sustainable, probably a mixture of solar, 100% renewable electric and possibly an air heat pump. I have some ideas as to what would work but the...

    Freezing drinker

I've just realised I have a flask that will fit in the drinker. Has frozen over twice today but I must remember to take it out this evening or it might freeze solid in the night and knacker it.

    Hybrid chicks

This is a long shot but there are a dozen chicks at school that will go back to the supplier very soon. At least half a dozen girls among them (the boys are very blond.) Its the way of it - but if there is anyone in the Leamington, Coventry etc area that wants me to keep some for them let me...

    Eggs on the way

The CLBs are getting a definite red bloom on the tips of their combs now. Eggs are on their way, Praying for no catastrophic restart misfires as always - but eggs would be lovely! (from past experience it will be at least a couple of weeks yet.)

    Books

Yes. I think, if music is available to buy by download (or pay-to-view for films) then it keeps the price down on the CDs as well. If it isn't then it becomes a rarity. I do think the cover art is a real treat with an album - only get to see what's in the booklet if you buy the physical...

    Books

I'm not a big book reader generally. The last blast was Murakami. Anyway, this is not going to interest anyone, I suspect, but I just finished reading a book by Amanda Gefter - 'Trespassing on Einstein's Lawn.' Its blown my socks off!

    Bird boxes

I'm going to try moving some of these from the country stores (where I get the chicken supplies.) They have a lot of nest boxes but most of what Ive seen have been thin-ish ply and somewhat silly designs. Its a universal small box based on the BTO pattern. 3 hole sizes, high, med and low open...

How Big is Your No Deal Brexit Food Stash?

You need one of these Hen Gen. Amongst other things it plays covering music to preserve your dignity! The 'spray' button is funny. Carol never dared press it - it makes for a wide eyed experience if you do!
