Hi, Marigold has put me onto Flubenvet to worm my 2 girls but i have trawled the web and every one i try is out of stock, or cannot get hold of any !! :(
Anyone know of anywhere i can get hold of some ??

Thanks xx

Try Medicanimal at http://www.medicanimal.com/product/~product_id=10127 I get mine from there, good price and fast service, and in stock it seems.
The pack will treat 20 chickens so will do yours for the next ten times, ie 5 years worth, so not so expensive as it may seem!
Your two will probably eat a little over 2 kilos in the week's treatment. Weigh out 2 kilos of pellets. Put a couple of handfuls in a large bowl and add a little vegetable oil, stir to just coat the pellets. Measure out and add the right amount of Flubenvet with the scoop provided in the pack, according to directions. Gradually add the rest of the pellets, stirring well between each addition until all are mixed. Empty the feeder and refill with treated pellets. Feed ONLY the treated pellets for one week, nothing else, then each bird will get the full and correct dose for her weight. You may need to mix some more at the end of the week, depending on their appetites.

I'm glad there's obviously been a national drive to worm chickens - maybe getting them fit in the wake of the Olympics?
Which breed gets the gold for laying, I wonder?

That would be the Bovan Goldline (aptly named), at around 350 eggs a year, one of mine layed 356, which I was absolutely delighted with.

thanks for the site link, just tried it and they are also out of stock, there must be a lot of worm free chickens out there haha , i will keep trying however, probably give it a week and look again x

Don't know Marigold, I obviously didn't threaten her enough, so she must have thought she could have some days off in winter. This scarcity of flubenvet is really weird, it seems hard to believe that its not a problem at the suppliers end, after all why would demand pick up so much that virtually everyone is out of stock?

I have just purchased a 10kg bag of Marriages layers pellets with Flubenvet already added from the Farmandpetplace website. Under a tenner and much easier to administer I personally think. Does have a rather short shelf life though. ;)

We store ours cool, dry and dark. We use what's left, even though it's a month or so past the date without any adverse effects and it still works fine. I wouldn't risk using it much past that.

www.animeddirect.co.uk have it in stock (I hope) as I ordered some yesterday. It's also free delivery and only £13.20 for 60g.
