Hello! When cleaning out the girls the other day i noticed one of their poo's had a long worm intertwined in it, i assume this means they have worms and i'm looking to worm them soon but a little worried as i only have three Pekins and i don't know what the best way to administer the dosage? Any advice? i was thinking of mixing it in their mixed corn as i know they will eat this. Thanks

There's some guidance here on Worming Chickens

See the Flubenvet page for information on mixing it with the feed.

Basically you need to remove all other food, including corn and treats and add it to the normal feed for a week to make sure it works.

Can buy it premixed in layers pellets -10kg bag by Marriages. As Tim says all other food must be withdrawn for the treatment to be effective. Otherwise they won't get a large enough daily dose.

Oh and I forgot - the FAQ here on the forum has some more information and links to information:

Worming Chickens FAQ

Yes, the Marriages feed is pre-mixed, personally I don't use it (I like to mix what I need and throw away what's left over and their diet would be changed for the week) but it certainly has the advantage of being easy to use without any mixing...

Which reminds me... I need to worm my birds in September... which is tomorrow!

You can get liquid wormer, wormer in feed (Marriages), and a small bag of wormer pellets. Personally, I prefer to use liquid.
