I have a supplier of wood shavings (sawdust) and he unfortunately produces more than we can use for our flock.
This is a by-product from his workshop so nothing extra fancy; just like shavings you get from pet shop although this is more finely 'grated'. It is clean, dry with no foreign objects. We have been using it for our chickens and rabbits for more than a year without any problems. It makes great compost after cleaning the coop as it decomposes so quickly .
He produces about three large bags or more a month and we really need just about one.
I am offering surplus bags to whoever can collect from my place (or possibly straight from his place). He can't part with his purpose made bags so you would have to transfer it to your own bags / containers. His bag takes about 5-6 normal black bin bags and I can fit just about three of his bags in my large estate car (to give you an idea as I really don't know the exact volume). We live in central Devon.
