Quick post as need to investigate but hope someone’s around as looks very strange
An object could best describe as like the end of a cuttlefish shell is protruding from Betty's rear. Smooth bone like. Going to see if it moves. any ideas?
Cleaned her up and its gone now. Was like the point of a white guitar plectrum, maybe shell but thick. She's been pecked and her vent is surprisingly hard but may be scar tissue.
Isolated and looking uncomfortable.

My first thought was it was her pubic bone Rick but as it has disappeared......

Take a look at this chicken skeleton and see if it looks familiar

I've had to go out for the day but your right dinosaw, that's exactly what it was like. It was mobile and thank goodness I didn't encourage it any more to come out! Vets asap.

Well I don't know! Her pelvis appears fine and solid (been to vet ), a small wound from pecking.
What this white thing was that isn’t there any more goodness knows (she may have passed it in the garden somewhere while I was assembling the cage - but as she lays blue eggs then I don’t think it could have been shell and was smooth, white, thick and felt like the size of a 10p inside with a blunt pointy bit sticking out.
Keeping her separate until she heals or something illuminating happens.

That's a good chicken skeleton Dino!

Sounds like you have a serial pecker in your midst Rick.

It's Aerial! - she only does it when another is laying oddly like when Blaze was passing loose egg. Something happened with Betty before I went in the run this morning as they were all pecking a patch on the floor as if something had been dropped there. Then Aerial went for Betty's rear when she ran by and I knew what was going on. Betty hasn't laid for about a week and a half (or has she - and its been eaten?) Hope to work it out now she's separated.
