whats the big thing about toulouse geese??

hi,

okay this may sound pretty basic as i have never kept geese in my life but im wondering what is the attraction to toulouse geese? have seen lots of threads about them????? !
 
Well I think its a matter of personal taste but for us we like the fact that the Toulouse are very large and their well developed keel and dewlap adds to the attraction. Overall they appear very 'stately' in appearence. Add to that they are generally placid geese for their size. Again all of this is personal opinion and I think you're either attracted to them or you're not.

Finally I think breeding good quality birds represent a challenge that the breeder can enjoy. As they are not as easy to breed as other geese this may make breeders seek others' opinions about husbandry, breeding and type. Hence more threads about their care.

Thats my 2 cents worth but purely personal opinion.
