Yes, I can see where you are coming from kegs, I thought sumatras only came in black? Has a gypsy face but can't see the comb type so could be a Yokohama? Maybe Dorinda can help out with this one
Well I'm none the wiser Bramist. Apart from the first photo is the cockerel, not the hen as I said. The concensus so far is Yokahama though. Can you send the pics to the owners club if there is one?
Looks more like sumatra chickenas having dark face and leggs, but only black is standarized but can be found in blu and white too. They comb may be wrong for sumatra but have a look here http://www.mypetchicken.com/chicken-breeds/Sumatra-B105.aspx
Do you own the bird from first picture as I had seen that picture on Preeloved advert, and birds on the rest of the pictures are very yellow?
Yes they are mine now,but the ad had Sebrights on to
begin with, then Seramas.Yokahamas not being mentioned.
Thats why I thought I would ask,so it may be a fairly new
colour ??? Thank's for that. 07 17
Good pic's,the comb look's right, and Yokohamas have yellow legs
not grey, which mine have. And as I could see by the link you put in,
there is also a Red Backed one.Cheers. 08 08 17
Well that was a nice journey thank's to you all.I now know what they
are,and that you can get them in Black,Blue,White and Red backed.I also
think there are others, but that needs more looking into.Flighty they can
be,but they are smart and learn very quickly.Going into the coop when
told ( all of our birds go out in shifts ) waiting patiently for food, while
the others dive into it like they have never been fed.Yes we like these
birds and are glad we got them.Thank's for all of your help once more,
and Sumatra Bantams it is. 17 17 08
