Hi I have a :-

Group 1 :- A cream legbar cockerel running with my cream legbars but also some rhode rocks.
Group 2 :- La Bresse (white french chicken) running with his La Bresse girls and also some Rhode rocks

Does anyone know / predict what the cross from group 1 and Group 2 would be like.

Thanks so much

Difficult to predict I would have thought as you have the deep red of Rhode Island Red and the barred from the Barred Plymouth Rock so depends on what's dominant.

The Cream Legbar cross would be particularly bad as you have two lots of barring from Plymouth Rock on both sides so the youngsters would be very difficult to tell apart. There are already enough problems and disappointments sourcing properly bred Legbar stock.

Thanks, just thought it was worth an ask.
The Rhode rocks were bought 2 produce eating eggs & were in with the others so I don't have 3 groups.
As the breeding la Bresse have 2 boys & the cream legbars there are 3 boys the fertility of all the eggs is good.
Just thought I would ask just in case there was some ok hybrid would hatch rather than just eating them.
From what u both have said we'll have a good omelette tomorrow :)
Thanks again
