Purple antiseptic spray and nitrile gloves, so that I don't end up purple too

This is a great idea for a thread. Gloves are a nice suggestion. Gotta wear your PPE!

Prevention is better than a cure..

#1 Boink proofing, fibreglass mesh window screen fixed on bungee cords works well for this, like an upside down trampoline. They get promptly boinked back down again without injury.

#2 Fonio, for the coccidia they never get if this is included in their diet.

#3 Turmeric and black pepper, an amazing anti inflammatory for the ones that will always find ways around any attempt i make to create a safe environment. They recover much quicker with this in their diet.

#4 Well trained dogs, they're not even allowed to look at the quail, if you hold one in front of them they look away.

#5 if all else fails, scissors.
