I've been treating my Light Sussex for Bumblefoot recently, she had a bit of a limp and I thought it was because of the BF, but today whilst having a look at her foot I noticed she had a sore knee (! I'm not sure what you call it). I've taken pictures and I'd be interested in what you think.
She's fine otherwise, bumblefoot healing well and she's laying like a good 'un!

It's called the 'Hock' or true ankle joint.

Have a read of the Disease and Disorders section - if you select the 'skeletal' tab there is information about lameness and Mycoplasma Synoviae bacteria that can cause the hocks to become inflamed. This would be my first guess. Tylosin is the usual treatment by your vet if this is the case...

There are other problems that can cause this too - Osteomyelitis (bone inflamation), arthritis / joint inflamation (usually in older birds), or tenosynovitis (inflamtion of the tendons). Lincomycin, Tylosin and Spectinomycin can be prescribed by a vet for such problems.
