I've got some Turkey chicks and were told they are Norfolk blacks :? Now, I can find pics of adult birds but what do they look like as babies?

I came across this pic on the internet. :D

That's what two of them look like! The other is a mottled brown one. Maybe he sneaked in. :-)11
Thanks for the pic, I looked all over for one.

Think the poults should be mottled brown, like the brown one here...

Did anybody ever find out about the Norfolk Black Turkey chick thing?
I bought some Norfolk Blacks and have hatched 9 chicks. 6 are black and 3 are brown.
Any ideas guys? Thanks x x

The mottled brown ones are bronze turkeys, norfolk black chicks are black with yellow round their head and sometimes pink toes. If you cross norfolk blacks with bronzes you will not know the difference appearence wise of the resultant black chicks when adult as they will just be plain black, bronze I think is recessive so if you cross 2 blacks with bronze in their lines a generation back you may get the odd bronze chick from totally black parents just popping up randomly. I think most norfolk blacks about are often a mix now - pure ones are hard to come by so you'll get broze occasionally.
