What day should you hear cheeping inside the egg?

I don't know but there was bits of black stuff in the eggs I hatched too. Just leftover stuff it didn't need I guess. like babies, chicks come out wet and gunky-maybe dried up veins?

Thank you Newtoducks, glad it's alright.

Last night was fun, learnt the hard way of why not to incubate eggs in your bedroom. He woke me up at 12 midnight. Would not stop cheeping. So i bought him into my bed, made a make shift bed out of a dressing gown and padded out the sides. And he slept with me. Was alright, didn't like the light being turned off so had to keep a lamp on. He cheeped a little bit but settled himself. And i got a few hours or good sleep. We also had a nice lie in today. He seems to only go quiet when he's near me. He's currently wrapped up in my dressing gown on me lap. Perfectly quiet and sleeping. He has definately imprinted on me. Just hope he will get better when i find him some friends. But he's all fluffed up now, still not eating or drinking though. Maybe it's still too early.

Glad he's ok-he's gonna be a mommy's boy! he won't take or need any fluids or feed for about 24hrs or so and then chick crumb.
Keep us posted -we all love a happy ending!
