If anyone could knows the breeds of any of the chicks in these photos I would really appreciate it :D Think the occasional one might be a mix, they all 'should' be purebreds. The big ones are approx 2.5months old and the little ones I'm hoping you might be able to give me an idea of their age as well! Think they are around a month? not sure if they might actually be 6 weeks?
I do know what some are, but sadly not a lot of them!

the onlyone i recognise is in picture 4 on the left and it looks like a white silky as i have some abut the same age now

hope this helps

Did the breeder not tell you what the chicks should be? Always good to know what you *should* be getting.

Anyways, pic 1, looks like a buff sussex pullet there. You could also have a Brahama there possibly but its hard to tell. And agree with the Silkie call.

The younger ones look older than 4 weeks, even 6. Hard to tell as light in some pics isn't great. I really can't make out what breed many of them are I'm afraid. Some really don't look pure bred.

He did, they shoul dbe sussez, brahma, maran, cochin, silky, arucana and poss leghorn.
I will get a list next time lol!
Agree, some don't really look purebred! the young ones, they're his late crop at which point he starts to let all his birds mix (I know..but we're not serious chicken people, it doesn't really matter if they lay!)
Will get better pics of the young ones as could really do with getting them into the outside pen so all the older lot can come into their stable!

Well then thats what you've got hopefully ;)

For some of them its just a case of waiting for them to grow a bit so you can work out which is which. The Araucana have destinctive combs so you should be able to tell those soon. Brahmas are very easy to spot also. Cochins also.

I'm guessing you have speckled Maran chicks but again without clearer pics I'd not like to say.

I suggest you get to Google images and do a search on the breeds you are supposed to have and compare the image search results with your chicks. Hopefully you know how they are supposed to look when grown so will be able to work out what is what fully :)
