We were given this very handsome rooster, who we have named Baxter..but, nobody seems to be able to tell us what breed he is

he looks like a black copper maran.
gorgeous! we've 4 bcm chicks a month old, think one is def a cock

I'd go for Copper Black Marans too - I can't see his feet - but is there any sign of black feathering on the lower legs / ankles? They don't all have feathering but there is usually at least a few feathers..

There is absolutley no feathers at all on his feet or legs..

OK - I'd still go for CBM though- not all of mine have feathered feet.
