wanted Chinese goose, France

We are looking for a Chinese goose. We have a gander who with his mate was attacked last Tuesday by a dog, she died because of to much injuries to the back and neck. He has injury to his back which is healing a cream from are local vet, so we need a Chinese goose, we are willing to travel to the UK but we need to find out what is needed to be done to import her first

Importation is very complex, expensive and time consuming Alan. You would have to get a pet certificate from a vet and the testing will take several weeks.

Your best bet would be Leboncoin.fr or the regional Angloinfo sites. There is also a big breeder just North of Rouen called Ferme de Beaumont. We bought a Wyandotte cockerel via a contact we got from Leboncoin- he came from Parthenay, near Poitiers, so not far from you really.

According to my French farm animals book 'Oie de Guinée' originates from Asia and is also known as 'Oie Chinoise' or Chinese Goose.
