using new words!

My 6 year old daughter came running into the kitchen in a state of high emergency today. She looked very unsure about something she had seen and announced...."Mummy, Mummy....It's the chickens! I think they are melting!" I rushed to her and asked why she thought that and she replied.. "because I can see some feathers on the floor!"

I think she meant 'moulting'!

That's very good! Bless her. But she probably did mean 'melting' because two of mine are 'moulting' and there are so many feathers that 'melting' would be the perfect description!!!
