Would Quails use a two storey rabbit hutch, would they work out how to get up and down the ramp?

Thanks

Yep! I have something like one of these:
dorset-front.jpg

Which I keep my POL quail in for a few weeks before they go in the aviary with the rest. I had some that won't go up but after being put in for 3-4 nights and having to walk down the ramp in the morning they get the idea. The white A&M texan quail get it faster than the normal coturnix!

i have one of these and i am really considering getting some quails but wouldnt you need to double wire it though as they can get though the holes cant they ? . i should of double checked the pic my one has really large wire holes so it would need double the wire ok now i need someone who breeds them .

I used half- inch mesh for the fronts of my indoor quail cages, mainly because it was left over from the chicken run, but it does have the advantage that they are protected from small predators such as mice and weasels. ATM mine are in a rabbit run with wire mesh about 1.5 cms by 3 cms I suppose and this is fine. If you keep coturnix quail (Japanese or Italian) as adults they are quite large birds and larger mesh would contain them, but of course if you want to keep Chinese painted they are much smaller. As youngsters there would be a week or two once they were out of the brooder when you'd need to keep an eye on things, but then you could temporarily block off the mesh I suppose until they grew. They are adult at 8 weeks, a lot easier than chickens!
