I've had my 3 girls for two weeks and they're 20 weeks old today. Imagine the lovely surprise I got when I went to clean the coop this morning and found the very first egg! Wooohoo! A bit small and the shell quite soft - but hey, fine for a first attempt!
08 Then about an hour later while sweeping up I found another one right there on the path. I'm pretty certain they were laid by the same chook - a Light Sussex. When I opened them one was a perfect little egg and the other was mostly a fairly big yolk with very little white. Can anyone give me any info on this. I've never heard of such a thing but I'm a novice chicken keeper.
