Hello all,
we have a hen who was showing signs of distress and sitting a lot.
Quick trip to the vet and northern fur mite was diagnosed and treated.
No sign off distress any more, but hen still sitting more than usual.
We are finding tiny eggs in the nest box, no bigger than say a blackbirds egg.
At this time we don't know who is laying these eggs or if it is connected to this particular hen.
Any ideas? or any previous experiences?
Many thanks
Graham.

They are called wind eggs, Graham, or sometimes cock eggs, or less politely, fart eggs.
Read all about it here http://www.poultryhelp.com/oddeggs.html
Fairly common, and I expect you will find yours have no yolk when cracked open.
