My 14 week old lemon (ish) but purebreed Pekin has been laying daily for the last 5 days, one of them was a double yolker, can anybody beat that?

The eggs are so tiny, lovely colour, very strong shells, and Floss, her 4 year old human mum, had 2 for her breakfast this morning which when fried, added up to three.

I do wish people would try and keep their colours pure as far as Pekins are concerned, they look so beautiful when they are a true colour.

Crikey that is young, not surprised they are tiny. Don't think I've had a bird lay short of 18 weeks.

Found another 2 in the nesting loft today, same colour but one larger than the other. What a girl, eh?

She is also one of the most delightful, people loving, hens I have ever come across. Totally tame, and unafraid of everything.
