I have 6 FCBM in my incubator, today is day 20. This morning 2 started pipping and this afternoon a 3rd started to pip, I can hear them cheaping. How long should they take until hatch? My previous chicks were under broodies so I have no idea what to expect :? .

could take a couple of hours, maybe another day. They tend to be more active at night, but it is still hard work for them to get out of the shell.

The important thing at this stage is not to disturb the humidity whilst they are hatching..so no matter how much you are tempted..sit on your hands and do not open the incubator! :D

3 have hatched this morning, 2 more pipping :D , how long should they stay in before going into the brooder?

24 to 36 hours is fine. Have feed and water availble to them when you transfer them.

Thanks :) All 6 hatched, lost one (see other thread) but remaining 5 are doing well and in brooder now :)
