Gosh, aren't they stunning! I love the gold one with the Father Christmas beard!

Thanks all, it has really surprised me what nice birds they have turned out to be. They are currently digging for England, or is it Germany?, huge potholes all over their run. Still roosting in the roof beams of the run and thats where they choose to perch during the day too.

They certainly are beautiful and they look so bright too. Are they large fowl or bantams?, sorry, I can't remember.

One of the survivors of my great hatch disaster is a small nearly white chick, NOT a RIR obviously about the same size as the Pekin hatched with the RIRs. It will be interesting to see what it turns out to be, very small, neat with really skinny legs, looks like a girl!!

They are truly beautiful, I particularly like the chamois colouring, it's stronger and richer than chamois in polands which I find a bit washed out for my taste. Thanks for posting.

They are bantams, always fascinating to see how chicks turn out as it is often nothing like you expect.

I think that the chamois is the prettiest too

Aubiouse, which is hemp horse bedding. It doesn't need changing very often but of course it depends on how many chickens you keep in the space.

If you put it down nice and deep and puck up the poo daily it lasts for ages and you can just top it up sometimes without having to change the lot. Try to find a local stockist and collect if possible as postage is expensive from chicken firms. See http://www.aubiose.co.uk/stockists.php
Use it in th coop and nestboxes as well, it's ever so absorbent and comfortable.
