finally i plucked up courage to put my ex batts in with the older girls in the wendy house tonight and i have just been out to check them and so far so good , most of my older girls sleep on the second floor perches of the house and only 1 or 2 use the main lower perch and my ex batts were all over the place 3 in one nest box 3 in a corner nearly on top of each other and 1 right over in the far corner :lol: am hoping over the next week or so they will use the other 2 perches in there as well as when they were in the little shed 6 of them perched quite happily all night , so now i should not need to worry about building them an all weather feed shelter and the ex batts 6'4 shed can now be converted to a feed station shed so wether its raining they can eat in the dry or if its to hot they can eat in shade i hope it all works out as then its one less thing to worry about .

Glad to hear its going well, its always a worring time trying to put 2 groups together but normally goes better than expected (we just worry too much) 17

when i let them out i opened the door first an 6 of the batts were on the floor acting a little funny as if something had spooked them but it looks like they didnt fight but it was dark at 6 am so i will go back out in a bit and fully check them but so far so good just hope it dont take them long to realise thats thier new house .

Well wouldn't you act a little strange if you found a few strangers in your bedroom at first light?? 10

Lets see if they go home to roost in their new place. (mine queued up for several days outside their non-existant house, but on the same patch of ground- before they cottoned on). Bless em......
