Got very excited today when I noticed Lulu, our Black Rock inside the coop for quite a while. After a tea and biscuit vigile I bolted in as soon as she popped out and there was our first egg! I'm sure you all know how I felt! 
I left it there for the children to 'find' later. They were just as excited until the arguement started about who would eat it. I said we'd wait until tomorrow and boil it and each take a soldier dipping turn :lol: Wasn't expecting any eggs yet as we've only had the chickens 4 days, but I don't know how long it would usually take. Just assumed it would be longer.
